Brand
Trust, taste, and tenacity
“Taste plus tenacity plus trust equals traction.”
There are many narratives about how Trust is paramount for brands to gain traction given the proliferation of slop.
Taste is another word that's getting a lot of air time as what separates memorable brands from the chaff.
I'd argue that the third T that's relevant to this discussion is Tenacity.
I like tenacity as a word here not just because it's alliterative and fits nicely into a rule of 3 (that, too, of course!), but because it encapsulates conviction and persistence. Having an informed opinion that anchors everything, and then showing up consistently over time, despite changing market conditions.
Of course, tenacity without taste is just stubbornness. And trust can't be built without tenacity. So I posit that taste plus tenacity plus trust equals traction.
“Taste plus tenacity plus trust equals traction.”
And that's the tea. 😉
